Tomball man killed in four-vehicle wreck
A 20-year-old Tomball resident died Sunday afternoon following a four-vehicle wreck that left two others injured.
Denis Rafael Bautista-Carrasco, 20, of Tomball, died at the scene at 3:20 p.m. on FM 1774, south of Texas 105 in Grimes County.
Department of Public Safety officials say Bautista-Carrasco was
driving a 2010 Ford four-door sedan southbound on FM 1774 near
Plantersville when a 2009 Dodge truck driven by Paul Harold Miller of
Spring was thrust into his lane head-on by a 2011 Ford pickup, driven by
Calvin Lloyd McKerley of Waller. Miller was attempting to make a left
Road conditions were dry and clear at the time of the accident.
Bautista-Carrasco died at the scene, while a passenger in the 2010
Ford, Oliverio Salvador Solis, 19, of Magnolia, was taken to Memorial
Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands in fair condition.
Miller was transported to St. Luke's in The Woodlands in fair
condition, while McKerley was listed with a broken ankle and various
minor injuries at St. Joseph Regional in Bryan, according to officials.
McKerley was the only driver involved in the crash not wearing a seat belt.
A 2013 Ford Mustang was damaged by debris, with the driver of that vehicle coming out of the accident unscathed.
According to Montgomery County Police Reporter, Bautista-Carrasco was a Lone Star College student.
