A Pearland man who was driving a truck in rural Falls County was struck and killed after getting out of his vehicle, officials said.
Henson was driving a 2012 International truck-tractor when he pulled onto the shoulder and stopped about a half-mile north of County Road 206A, a DPS spokeswoman said.
As he stepped out of the vehicle, a 2014 International truck-tractor driven by a Bryan man struck Henson and his truck, DPS said.
Henson was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:55 p.m.
The report did not state whether Henson's truck was partially on the roadway, the spokeswoman said.
The posted speed in the accident location is 75 mph, she said.
