A driver died early Friday morning when she collided
with a Lamar Consolidated Independent School District bus in Fort Bend
County.

The wreck happened about 7:40 a.m. on FM 359 near Foster High School, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies
said investigators were trying to determine what led to the crash, but
it appeared that the woman may have swerved before colliding with the
bus.

Six students were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Two students and the bus driver were taken to OakBend Medical Center to be evaluated as a precaution, said Mike Rockwood, an LCISD spokesman. The other students were taken to their school.

Rockwood
said he was uncertain which school the students attended but they
either were enrolled at Foster High or Briscoe Junior High, which are
both in the same complex near where the crash happened.
