Motorcyclist dies in collision with valet near Montrose
A motorcyclist died late Thursday night when he collided with a
restaurant valet driver who was moving a car near the Montrose area.
The crash happened about 11:30 p.m. in the 2800 Westheimer near Virginia, according to the Houston Police Department.
said the driver of a white Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound on
Westheimer when a valet backed a BMW out of a parking lot into the path
of the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist collided with the rear of
the car. The man, whose name has not been released, was rushed to
Memorial Hermann hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The valet driver was not hurt.
said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be involved in the wreck. So
far, no citations have been issued, police added. The wreck remains
