Family of 4 killed in car crash in Cleveland
Officials say a family of four was killed in a car crash in Cleveland on Saturday.
Investigators said around 5:30 am, Jennifer Clouse, 27, was driving along Highway 105 near Goode City Road with her husband, Nathan.
Clouse was driving Nathan to work in Conroe. Officials said her two children, 6-year-old Jorden and 8-year-old Bailey, were riding in the backseat.
State Troopers said a man driving a truck in the opposite direction crossed lanes, directly in the path of the Clouse family.
Jennifer's car slammed into the passenger door of the truck, killing the entire family, said investigators.
Troopers say the accident caused debris from the truck, including the engine, to be scattered along the roadway.
Two more vehicles ran into the debris. Investigators said one of those drivers got out to inspect the damage, but got back in his vehicle and left the scene.
The driver of the truck that caused the accident was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said they believe the rainy weather conditions may have been a factor in the crash.
DPS officials said they'd like to talk with any drivers who may have seen the accident.
