Alvin woman flips car in Santa Fe
SANTA FE — An Alvin woman was hospitalized Sunday after she was pinned under her car after it flipped over.
Police said they suspect alcohol and driver inattention contributed to the one-car rollover that happened about 2:10 p.m.
The 27-year-old Alvin woman and a passenger were on 25th Street near FM 646 when the car flipped over. When police arrived, Jennifer Felch was partially pinned under the car.
Santa Fe Fire and Rescue crews were able to pull her out. She was taken by air ambulance to John Sealy Hospital at the University of Texas Medical Branch where she was in serious condition but was expected to survive, Capt. Wayne Kessler said in a press statement.
A 27-year-old man in the car with Felch was not injured, police said.
While alcohol is believed to have contributed to the accident, no charges have been filed, police said.
