A Liberty County girl accidently ran over her younger sister on Tuesday at her family’s home, authorities said.
The 12-year-old got into a car shortly after 8 p.m. to drive from her
house to a barn on the family’s property along the 200 block of County
Road 604, Liberty County sheriff’s officials said.
The girl told her sister, 4, to stay away from the car before driving
the 40 yards from the family’s house to the barn, authorities said.
When she stopped, the young driver found her sister pinned beneath one of the tires.
Their father took the 4-year-old to Dayton police headquarters. The
child was later flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
