1 killed, 1 hurt in 2-car wreck
One person died and another was hospitalized after a crash in northwest Houston.
6 a.m. Thursday, a car heading east on Hempstead Highway tried to turn
left onto West by Northwest Boulevard when it was rear-ended by another
crews pulled two people out of car that was and took them to a
hospital. The passenger died and the other was stable, officials said.
Police said the
driver who caused the wreck was not injured. Investigators said the
driver told him that an oncoming vehicle's headlights made it hard for
him to see.
The names of the drivers and passenger have not been released.
