HCSO: Man admits to speeding before deadly crash
A driver admitted to speeding when he caused deadly collision in Galena Park Thursday night, detectives said.
Harris County deputies said the driver admitted to driving about 100 mph before the crash on Clinton and Crown at about 10 p.m.
Investigators said the man's Dodge Challenger hit a pickup truck, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a creek.
Five people were in that truck that crashed. A female passenger in the truck was killed, deputies said.
The man driving the truck suffered minor injuries. Two other adults and a 1-year-old child were sent to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Dodge Challenger was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
