LA MARQUE — Four people remained hospitalized Wednesday from injuries suffered when an automobile became airborne and crashed at an interstate exit.

Driver Francisco Briceno, 18, of Rosharon and passenger Luis Mardujano, 19, were listed in good condition at the University of Texas Medical Branch, a hospital spokeswoman said. The hospital could release no information on passengers Sasha Soto, 15, of Alvin or Francisco Soto.

The injuries happened at 5:57 p.m. Monday when a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 45 left the exit ramp to state Highway 6 West became airborne and struck a bridge support column, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said.
